Danny Moloney from M4-HPTE (company in the UK)

Danny Moloney is an international marketer in the PrintMedia Industry in the UK. We spend some time with the UC-Crowd team during the Salford meeting and he shared is thoughts on the UC-Crowd project.

What do you do and what is your role in your company?
My day job, is as an international marketer in the PrintMedia Industry which takes me around the world building distribution channels; work which gives me an extensive international and global commercial perspective.

What kind of research do you do?
I am particularly interested in:
- ‘Original Entrepreneurial Opportunity’ with a focus on the development of Media City as a creative cluster, and;
- the Entrepreneurial Competence Development of Eccles, as a creative community.

What do you think about the UC Crowd project and what it is trying to achieve?
I think it is a very worthwhile and valuable program, especially as it aims to bring academia and commerce closer together using the latest adoption of communications technology and knowledge exchange platforms.

How could this UC Crowd platform help you or other companies to crowdsource ideas?
Conceptually, UC Crowd helps me in both my commercial and research arenas as a portal to link entrepreneurial creativity to academic thought leadership, a win-win for both ‘communities’.
